When Disaster Strikes, You're Back
in Minutes — Not Days.
Enterprise-grade backup and disaster recovery for Miami clinics, CPA firms, law offices, and non-profits. Powered by Kaseya BCDR with Datto SIRIS — the same technology trusted by Fortune 500 companies, sized and priced for regulated small businesses.
"We Have Backups" Isn't a Recovery Plan.
Every Miami practice we audit tells us the same thing in the first meeting: "Yeah, we have backups." Then we ask three follow-up questions. Most can't answer any of them.
The 3 Questions That Reveal You're Not Actually Protected:
- "When was the last time you actually tested a restore?" — Most answer "never" or "I think IT did it once a couple years ago."
- "If your server died right now, how long until you're back up — and what data would you lose?" — Most have no idea. The honest answer for most practices: days, with weeks of data loss.
- "Are your backups encrypted, off-site, and immutable from ransomware?" — Nine out of ten times the answer is one of those three, not all three.
Here's what nobody tells you: file-level backup running on a USB drive isn't business continuity. It's a false sense of security. When a ransomware attack hits, a server hardware failure happens, or someone accidentally deletes the wrong folder — you don't have minutes to get back online. You have seconds before patients leave, clients lose confidence, and you're explaining the outage to the Florida Bar, the IRS, or the OCR.
ITva fixes this. We deploy Kaseya BCDR with Datto SIRIS — enterprise-grade backup and disaster recovery designed for the modern threat landscape. Local appliance + immutable cloud + instant virtualization + ransomware detection. Tested every quarter. Documented for every audit.
Complete BCDR Coverage. No Add-Ons. No Surprises.
Every Miami practice we manage gets the full Kaseya BCDR stack — not a stripped-down "starter tier" that leaves you exposed when it matters.
5-Minute Backup Intervals
Backups every 5 minutes if your data is critical, hourly by default. Inverse Chain Technology makes every snapshot a fully bootable recovery point — no more "incremental backup chains" that fail when you need them most.
Instant Virtualization
If your server dies, we boot your entire system as a virtual machine on the SIRIS appliance or in the Datto Cloud — in minutes. Your team keeps working while we repair or replace the underlying hardware. No reimage required.
Ransomware Detection & Rollback
Patented scanning technology continuously monitors backups for ransomware indicators. If suspicious encryption activity is detected, alerts trigger and we can restore to a clean pre-attack snapshot — without paying any ransom.
Immutable Datto Cloud
Backups replicate to the encrypted Datto Cloud on ZFS-based snapshot storage that can't be corrupted by ransomware. Mandatory 2FA on the cloud portal. Cloud Deletion Defense undoes accidental or malicious deletions.
AI-Verified Backups (99%+ Accuracy)
Every backup is auto-tested using AI-powered screenshot verification. The system literally boots your backup, takes a screenshot, and confirms it's recoverable. No more "we have backups" — we have backups we've proven work.
File & Application Recovery
Need to recover one accidentally-deleted file from 6 weeks ago? One Excel sheet from this morning? Done in minutes. SIRIS supports file-level, folder-level, and full-system restores at any point in your backup history.
M365 & SaaS Backup
Microsoft 365 doesn't back up your data the way you think — Microsoft protects their infrastructure, not your tenant data. We add Datto SaaS Protection for full Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID coverage.
Quarterly DR Testing & Documentation
We don't just deploy backup and walk away. Quarterly disaster recovery drills with documentation you can hand directly to an OCR auditor, IRS reviewer, or insurance underwriter as proof of your tested recovery plan.
Backup Is Required by Law in Your Industry.
Ours Satisfies It.
Every regulatory framework that governs Miami clinics, CPA firms, law offices, and non-profits requires data backup. Vague compliance frameworks aside, here's exactly what each one demands — and how Kaseya BCDR satisfies each requirement.
45 CFR §164.308(a)(7) — Contingency Plan
What HIPAA requires: Retrievable exact copies of ePHI; data backup plan, disaster recovery plan, and emergency mode operation plan. Testing and revision procedures. Documentation of all the above.
How we satisfy it: Encrypted backups (in transit and at rest), Datto Cloud immutability, written DR procedures, quarterly DR testing with documented results, signed BAA covering the backup workflow.
Publication 4557 / Safeguards Rule
What the IRS requires: Written backup procedures, secure off-site storage of taxpayer data, encrypted backups, regular testing, and documented recovery procedures as part of your Written Information Security Plan.
How we satisfy it: Backup procedures documented in your WISP, encrypted off-site storage in Datto Cloud, quarterly verification with screenshot proof, retention periods that exceed IRS 7-year requirements.
Confidentiality of Client Information
What the Florida Bar requires: Reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized disclosure of client information. Florida Bar Ethics Opinion 24-1 explicitly addresses technology safeguards and recovery from incidents.
How we satisfy it: End-to-end encrypted backups, immutable cloud storage protecting against ransomware-driven disclosure, rapid recovery limiting service interruption to clients, documented chain of custody.
Florida Information Protection Act
What Florida requires: Reasonable measures to protect personal information of Florida residents. Breach notification within 30 days. Documented incident response and recovery.
How we satisfy it: Rapid recovery limits breach scope, immutable backups allow forensic analysis without destroying evidence, documented timeline of detection-to-recovery for FIPA breach reports.
From "We Hope Backups Work" to "We Know They Do" — In 30 Days.
Discovery & Assessment
Week 1. We inventory your systems, applications, data sources, and current "backup" situation. We determine your real Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) by industry — clinics typically need 1-hour RTO, CPA firms can handle 4-hour during off-season.
SIRIS Deployment
Week 2. Datto SIRIS appliance installed at your office (or virtual SIRIS for cloud-first environments). Initial seed backup of all critical systems. Datto Cloud replication configured. M365/Google Workspace SaaS backup enabled.
Verification & Documentation
Week 3. First full DR test: we virtualize your server in the SIRIS, verify all applications boot, test data integrity. We document the procedure, RTO/RPO actuals, and recovery steps for your compliance file.
Ongoing Monitoring
Week 4 onward. AI-powered backup verification runs nightly. Our SOC monitors backup health 24/7. Quarterly DR drills. Annual full failover test. Monthly health reports for your QBR.
What Recovery Actually Looks Like.
Disaster doesn't usually look like a hurricane. More often, it's a Tuesday morning ransomware email or a fried server. Here's what happens in each scenario when you have ITva's BCDR in place.
Ransomware Hits at 7am Monday
Front desk arrives, can't access the EHR. Files show ".lockbit" extensions everywhere. The phone is ringing — patients are arriving.
With ITva BCDR:
7:15am — SIRIS ransomware detection alerts our SOC. 7:30am — we virtualize your last clean snapshot from before the attack. 8:00am — you're operational on the SIRIS while we forensically clean the original systems. You see patients on time. You don't pay a ransom.
Server Hardware Failure
It's tax season. CPA firm's primary application server dies — motherboard failure. Replacement hardware is 48 hours out. Clients are calling for their returns.
With ITva BCDR:
Within an hour, your CCH ProSystem, Drake, or Lacerte server is running as a VM on the Datto SIRIS appliance. Your team continues processing returns without missing a single deadline. We swap hardware on the weekend with patented Fast Failback.
Accidental Deletion
Paralegal accidentally deletes the wrong client folder, including 6 weeks of case work. They realize on Friday. The case has a Monday filing.
With ITva BCDR:
5-minute call to our support. We mount the snapshot from Thursday afternoon, restore the exact folder, and the paralegal is back in business in under 15 minutes. Filing happens on time. No client even knows there was an issue.
Why Kaseya BCDR & Datto SIRIS?
We didn't pick the cheapest backup software and put a logo on it. We deploy the same enterprise-grade BCDR platform used by tens of thousands of MSPs protecting Fortune 500 customers — sized and priced for regulated small businesses.
Industry Leader, Not a Startup
Kaseya serves 50,000+ MSP and SMB customers globally. Datto has been the gold standard in MSP-delivered BCDR for over a decade. When you trust your business to backup software, "they've been doing this a long time" matters more than "they have a cool logo."
Inverse Chain Technology
Patented architecture where every backup snapshot is a complete, bootable recovery point — not a fragile dependency chain that fails when one link breaks. Legacy backup software relies on chains; Datto eliminated the chain problem.
Immutable, ZFS-Based Cloud
The Datto Cloud uses immutable ZFS snapshots — meaning even if attackers compromise your local network and your SIRIS, they cannot corrupt or delete your cloud backups. This is a fundamentally different security model than "cloud storage."
24/7 Direct-to-Tech Support
Datto's renowned 24x7x365 direct-to-tech support backs up our team. When disaster strikes at 2am Saturday, we're not opening a ticket queue — we're escalating directly to backup engineers who built the product.
Backup & DR FAQ
Aren't we already protected by Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace backup?
+
This is one of the most dangerous misconceptions in IT. Microsoft and Google protect their infrastructure, not your tenant data. If a staff member accidentally deletes 6 months of emails, or ransomware encrypts your OneDrive files, or an admin permanently deletes a SharePoint site — Microsoft will not restore that for you.
Microsoft's own documentation states this clearly: "data backup is your responsibility." We add Datto SaaS Protection on top of M365 specifically to fix this gap.
What's the difference between backup and disaster recovery?
+
Backup answers: "Do we have a copy of our data?" That's a yes/no question.
Disaster recovery answers: "When can we be operational again, and how much data will we lose?" Those are RTO and RPO questions.
A USB drive at the front desk is backup. Datto SIRIS with cloud failover and tested recovery procedures is disaster recovery. The first one might give you data. The second one keeps your business running.
How much does Kaseya BCDR cost?
+
Pricing is based on the amount of data protected (server, workstation, M365 user counts) and your RTO/RPO requirements. A typical small Miami clinic or CPA firm protecting 1-2 servers and 10-15 users runs in the range of a few hundred dollars per month — far less than the cost of a single hour of downtime during business hours.
Our free assessment includes a written quote with no obligation. We'll also show you the math: cost of BCDR vs. cost of unprotected downtime in your specific business.
We already have a backup vendor. Why switch?
+
Fair question. We don't recommend switching just for the sake of switching. We recommend a free backup assessment where we run the three diagnostic questions: when was your last tested restore, what's your real RTO, and are your backups immutable from ransomware?
If your current solution checks all three boxes, you don't need us. If it doesn't, we'll show you exactly what's missing and what the risk looks like. The decision is yours.
How long does deployment take?
+
Typical timeline is 30 days from kickoff to fully tested operational state. Week 1: discovery and assessment. Week 2: SIRIS appliance deployment and initial seed backup. Week 3: first DR test and documentation. Week 4 onward: steady-state monitoring. Larger environments may take 6-8 weeks. Zero business disruption during deployment.
What happens to the SIRIS if our office floods or burns down?
+
This is exactly why we configure SIRIS as a hybrid solution. Your local appliance handles fast same-day recovery, but every backup also replicates to the geographically-distributed Datto Cloud in real time.
If your office is physically destroyed by a hurricane, fire, or flood — your data is still safe in the cloud. We can virtualize your servers in the Datto Cloud, give your team remote access, and your business operates from anywhere there's internet until your physical office is rebuilt. We've helped clients recover from real hurricanes this way.
