Cloud Services That Are Configured Right —
Not Just Configured.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Google Workspace, and Azure deployments tuned for compliance, security, and the way regulated practices actually use them. Including the M365 Nonprofit grant that gets your non-profit on enterprise tools for $5.50/user.
Default Settings Aren't Compliant Settings
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Azure are powerful platforms — but their out-of-the-box configurations are designed for general business, not regulated industries. MFA isn't on by default. Sensitive data isn't classified. External sharing is wide open. Mobile devices aren't managed. Audit logs aren't retained.
We deploy and manage these platforms with the configuration regulated practices actually need. Conditional access policies that match your industry. Data loss prevention rules. Mobile device management. Retention policies aligned with your compliance frameworks. The platform behaves like an enterprise security tool, not a consumer email service.
And for non-profits, we navigate the TechSoup eligibility process and Microsoft's nonprofit grant program — getting your organization onto Microsoft 365 Business Premium for $5.50/user/month instead of $22. Same product, 75% off, properly configured.
Where Cloud Deployments Go Wrong
We routinely take over cloud environments with these issues already in production.
MFA Off or Optional
Microsoft 365 ships with MFA available but not enforced. Most practices leave it that way 'so it's easier for staff.' This is the single biggest reason BEC attacks succeed.
External Sharing Wide Open
Default M365 / Google Workspace settings allow staff to share files with anyone via link. Privileged client documents, patient data, financial records — all one accidental click from being public.
Mobile Devices Unmanaged
Personal phones with email installed but no company control. When the doctor loses their phone at lunch, there's no remote wipe — and PHI is on the device.
Audit Logs Not Retained
M365 audit logs default to 90 days. Most compliance frameworks require 3-6 years. By the time you need to investigate an incident, the evidence is gone.
Configured for Your Compliance, Not Generic Defaults
Three principles guide every cloud deployment we run.
Security Baseline First
Before users get logins, the security posture is set: MFA enforced, conditional access deployed, mobile device management configured, sensitive data classified. The platform is hardened on day one.
Compliance Aligned
Configuration mapped to your frameworks: HIPAA-aligned for clinics, IRS WISP for CPA firms, FL Bar for law offices. Audit log retention extended. DLP rules tuned for your data. The platform supports your compliance program rather than complicating it.
Cost-Optimized for Your Sector
M365 Nonprofit grant for qualifying non-profits. Microsoft 365 Business Premium tier for most regulated practices (the security features matter). Azure cost monitoring to prevent runaway bills. We pick the right SKU.
Cloud Services from Migration to Daily Operations
Whether you're starting fresh or improving an existing deployment, these are the components.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium Deployment
Email, file storage, Teams, Office apps — plus the security tier with MFA, conditional access, mobile device management, and data loss prevention. The right SKU for regulated practices.
Google Workspace Migration & Management
Migration from Gmail to Workspace Business or Enterprise tier. Or migration from Google Workspace to M365 if it's the better fit. We don't push a single platform — we deploy what fits.
Azure Infrastructure
Hosted line-of-business apps, virtual desktops, backup infrastructure. Most practices don't need their own Azure tenant — but those that do (e.g., hosting a custom EHR or legacy app) get a properly architected, cost-managed deployment.
Microsoft 365 Nonprofit Grants
TechSoup eligibility, registration, and validation. Microsoft Nonprofit portal application. Tenant deployment with grant pricing. We've onboarded dozens of South Florida non-profits this way.
Email Migration
From legacy Exchange, on-prem servers, hosted email providers, or competing platforms. Coordinated cutover with minimal staff downtime. DNS, autodiscover, mobile devices, all handled.
SharePoint / OneDrive / Drive Architecture
File storage architecture designed around your access control needs. Department libraries, client matter folders, team sites — set up so the right people see the right files and nothing else.
Microsoft Teams Configuration
Channels, governance policies, recording retention, external access rules. Configured so Teams supports your work without becoming a compliance liability.
Conditional Access & MFA
Risk-based access policies. Trusted device requirements. Geo-restrictions. MFA enforcement with the lowest-friction options (mobile push, biometrics). Strong security with usable login flow.
Backup of Cloud Data
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data does NOT have native backup beyond limited retention. We deploy third-party backup so you can recover from accidental deletion, ransomware, or insider deletion.
From Decision to Daily Operations
Typical deployment timeline. Existing-tenant optimizations are faster; greenfield deployments take the full curve.
Discovery & Design
Current-state inventory, requirements gathering, target architecture, license selection, migration plan. Decisions are documented and signed off before anything moves.
Foundation Build
Tenant created, security baseline deployed (MFA, CA, MDM, DLP), domain verified, file architecture set up. Pilot users onboarded for testing.
Migration & Cutover
Email and file migration in waves. Mobile device enrollment. Staff training. DNS cutover with rollback plan. Final cleanup of source systems.
Common Questions About Cloud & Microsoft 365 Services
Should we use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
+
Both are good. The decision usually comes down to: existing staff familiarity, line-of-business app integrations, and which platform's security tier fits your industry. M365 Business Premium has stronger compliance tooling for healthcare and finance; Workspace tends to be simpler for smaller teams. We deploy whichever is right — we don't push one.
Is the M365 Nonprofit grant really $5.50/user?
+
Yes. Microsoft 365 Business Premium retails at $22/user/month. The Nonprofit grant brings it to $5.50 for qualifying organizations (501(c)(3) status with mission consistent with Microsoft's anti-discrimination policy). The grant covers up to 300 users per organization. This is the same product Fortune 500 companies pay full price for.
How long does email migration take?
+
Discovery and prep: 1-2 weeks. The actual cutover happens over a weekend for most practices — staff goes home Friday on the old system, comes back Monday on the new one. Mailboxes migrate in the background; cutover flips DNS records. Larger or multi-office practices may stage migrations over multiple weekends.
Can you support hybrid environments?
+
Yes. Some practices keep certain workloads on-premises (often a legacy line-of-business application that's not yet cloud-ready) while moving everything else to M365. We architect the hybrid and manage both sides.
What about backup?
+
Both Microsoft and Google have explicit shared-responsibility models for cloud data: they keep the platform running, you're responsible for protecting your data within it. M365's recycle bin retains for ~93 days; that's not a backup. We deploy third-party backup (typically retaining 365+ days, with point-in-time restore) so accidental deletion, malicious insider deletion, and ransomware can all be recovered from.
What Changes Based on Your Vertical
Healthcare needs HIPAA-aligned M365. Non-profits qualify for the M365 grant. Law firms need privilege-aware sharing. Each industry tunes the configuration.
We were paying full retail for Microsoft 365 Business Standard, with no MFA and no mobile device management. ITva moved us to Business Premium with the nonprofit grant — same staff count, our license cost dropped 60%, and we got security tooling we didn't have before. The math just made sense, and frankly we should have been doing this for years.
